How it's built

The double-door foldable structure is what makes this box different from a standard rigid box. It starts as a flat sheet with pre-scored creases. Fold it up and the two doors meet in the middle. The box holds its shape. Our control tolerance for foldable boxes is strict: creases must not crack, magnet position within plus or minus 1 mm, corners at 90 degrees when erected. No wonky doors. No popped seams after repeated folding.

The board is greyboard, minimum 1200 g, with a facing paper of at least 157 g. The vintage wood texture is printed on that facing paper, not wrapped from real wood veneer. That gives you the look without the cost or the weight. The gold inner lining is a separate paper layer. The ribbon handle is attached through reinforced points in the top panel, so it won't tear out under a full bottle.

Bottle fit and carry

This box fits one standard wine bottle. Standard 750 ml Bordeaux and Burgundy bottles fit without customization. Champagne or unusual shapes? Send us your bottle dimensions and we can advise if a custom size is needed. The interior is not padded, so the bottle sits directly on the gold lining. That's fine for gifting when the bottle is already sealed and won't be shaken. But if you need impact protection for shipping, this is not the box for that. We check the fold and the handle, not a padded insert. The standard size fits most 750 ml wine bottles. A champagne bottle is wider at the base and longer, so we would need to adjust the dimensions. Tell us your bottle diameter and height, and we can confirm if the standard size works or if a custom size is needed.

Does the box stay folded when shipped?

Yes, it ships flat. The double-door structure is designed to fold without cracking at the creases. Our control tolerance for foldable boxes requires creases to remain intact after multiple folds, and we check that in production.

Is the ribbon handle strong enough for a full bottle?
