Corrugated Cardboard Wine Box for Single Bottles

A single-bottle shipper made from corrugated cardboard, and inside it's a honeycomb structure that does the protecting. It expands to grip the bottle. No foam inserts, no bubble wrap. Because the box ships flat, you cut freight volume and cost at once. Wineries and brand retailers use it to put a branded box on a shelf, or send a bottle through the post without paying for rigid packaging. You can print it, size it to your bottle. How the box is built

Corrugated cardboard, cut and creased so it folds flat. Inside the base there's a honeycomb paper layer, so when you insert a bottle the honeycomb cells open up. They hold the glass away from the outer walls. That gap's what absorbs impact. It's a simple structure: one outer shell and one honeycomb insert. No glue, no plastic.

Since it's corrugated, the box has enough rigidity to stack a few high on a pallet, yet it's still light. The honeycomb does the protective work, so you don't need thick board or foam; that keeps material cost down and the box easy to flatten again after use. It's a shipping box first, but with a printed outer layer it can sit on a shelf.

How the bottle sits

The honeycomb insert is cut to the bottle's diameter. The bottle stands upright with its neck supported by surrounding cells, and there's no unsupported shoulder. We check the fit the same way we check our rigid boxes, which means we shake the closed box for ten seconds and listen for movement, tilt it 45 degrees to see if the bottle slides, then invert it to confirm the bottle stays put. Our control tolerance for the insert is plus or minus 1 mm, and the box body is plus or minus 2 mm. If your bottle has an unusual shape, we simply adjust the honeycomb die-cut to match.

Wineries shipping single bottles to customers. Retailers selling a bottle in a branded carton. Event planners putting a bottle on each table. For a corporate gift, it's a low-cost way to add a logo. It's not the right choice for a heavy glass decanter or a bottle you want to present in a rigid gift box with a magnetic lid; for those, look at our rigid board or wooden boxes. Will the honeycomb cushioning hold a heavy champagne bottle?

Yes. The honeycomb cells being cut to the bottle's diameter makes a standard 750 ml champagne bottle sit snugly, and the fit gets tested with a loaded box via ten seconds of shaking, a 45-degree tilt, and an inversion where the bottle should not move or release.

Can I print my logo on the outside of the box?

Yes. Full-colour custom printing is what we offer on the corrugated board because it takes print well; you can send your artwork or use our ODM design help, and before mass production we produce a printed sample so you can check the colour and placement.

How does flat-pack shipping reduce my freight cost?

Since a flat-packed box takes up only a fraction of an erected box's volume, more units go on each pallet or carton and your per-piece freight cost lowers. You erect the boxes at your facility, or if you'd rather, we can ship them pre-erected.
