Customisation

You can change the paper color and texture. Add your logo in foil stamping, debossing, or printing. Adjust the size to fit wider bottles or a different bottle count. We can also add a divider, a paper mould insert, or change the handle to ribbon. The board weight can be upgraded to 1400g if you need more stiffness. How it's built

The box is cut from seven pieces of 1200g greyboard. That's our minimum standard for a rigid box that won't soften at the corners. The board is wrapped in black texture paper, not printed directly. So the surface is even and the edges stay clean. The book-shaped lid is attached with a hinge that lets it open flat without stressing the spine.

The magnetic closure is set into the front flap. We hold the magnet position to plus or minus 1 mm so the lid aligns every time. The leather handle is riveted through the top panel, not glued. The metal buckle is sewn in. All corners are square when the box is erected. The box folds flat along creases that are scored, not cut. They won't crack after repeated assembly.

Bottle fit and carrying

The standard interior is 36 by 24.5 by 12.5 cm. It's sized for two standard Bordeaux or Burgundy bottles. The bottles sit side by side with a small gap between them, so labels don't rub. The box does not come with a fixed insert, but we can add a greyboard divider or a paper mould insert if you want more separation. Our insert rule is that each bottle is held at four points and there is no unsupported neck or shoulder. For this box, we check that the bottles do not slide when the box is tilted 45 degrees. A 10-second shake must produce no movement. The leather handle is load-tested with two full bottles in the box.

Where it works

This box is for wineries, wine shops, and corporate gifting programs. They want a double-bottle presentation at a lower cost than wood or rigid board with a lift-off lid. It's a good choice for holiday sets, two-bottle club shipments, or a thank-you gift that needs to look considered but not expensive. The foldable design means you can store a thousand flat where you'd store fifty rigid boxes. It's not the right choice for very heavy bottles or long-term storage. The board is rigid but not structural like wood. The magnetic closure is not meant for repeated opening and closing every day. For a single high-end bottle, a solid wood box is a better fit.

Buyer questions

Can this box fit two champagne bottles?

The standard size is for two standard wine bottles. Champagne bottles are wider and taller, so we would need to adjust the dimensions. Send us the bottle diameter and height, and we'll check the fit before making a sample.

Does the magnetic closure stay shut during shipping?

Yes. The magnets are strong enough to hold the lid closed during normal handling. We also run a 1.2 m six-face drop test with two full bottles inside, and the lid must stay shut. If you need extra security, we can add a small hidden tab or a ribbon closure.

Is the leather handle real leather?

The standard handle is leather-textured PU, which is more durable than real leather for repeated carrying and costs less. If you want genuine leather, we can source it, but it will change the price and the lead time. The metal buckle is zinc alloy.
