European Retro Cylindrical Wooden Wine Box

A single-bottle wooden box that reads old-world before you even open it. The cylinder is solid wood with an embossed floral pattern, and it's finished in deep burgundy along with antique-style hardware, with a soft velvet interior that holds the bottle still once you lift the lid. Wineries sell limited releases in it, collectors gift that one bottle, and retail displays use it because the packaging itself is part of the pitch. We make it to your bottle's shape, not the other way around.

  • Solid wood cylinder. The body, which is high-quality solid wood, carries an embossed floral texture, and it feels substantial in your hand, not like a paper tube wrapped up to look like wood.
  • Vintage burgundy finish. Deep burgundy gets paired with antique-style hardware, and the box itself looks collected and heirloom-like without any extra decoration. But it's simple in the end.
  • Velvet-lined interior. Soft velvet is the standard interior, cushioning the bottle and blocking light, though you can switch to EVA foam or silk when it fits the brand better.
  • Custom fit for your bottle. We adjust dimensions to your bottle's shape and volume, so the insert changes with it: a Burgundy bottle, a tall Riesling, a heavy Champagne. And each gets its own.
  • Your logo on the wood. Brand name, logo, or a short personal message can be added using embossing, hot stamping, UV printing, or engraving. It stays on the wood.

Customisation

Send us your bottle dimensions or a sample, your logo file, and the quantity you're planning, and then we customize the cylinder's dimensions to the bottle, the wood tone and finish color to your brand, and the interior to velvet, EVA foam, or silk, with embossing, hot stamping, UV printing, or engraving for logos. We'll make a blank sample first so you can check structure, then a printed sample for the final look.

How the box is built

Because the cylinder is turned from solid wood, then embossed with a floral pattern across the surface, that texture gets pressed into the wood before finishing, not printed on. And then the burgundy color goes on after embossing so the pattern catches the light without losing depth.

The lid is a flip-top, hinged so it opens smoothly and stays attached, while antique-style hardware on the front keeps it closed during transit; the velvet lining inside is cut to your bottle's profile and glued in place, leaving no loose fabric or exposed raw edges.

Bottle fit and checks

One bottle fits inside, and we take your bottle's dimensions or a sample, then cut the velvet, EVA, or silk insert to match so the bottle sits fully supported, which means there's no unsupported neck and no shoulder resting on the rim. Our control tolerance for the insert is plus or minus 1 mm, kept consistent across a run. Before shipping, every design gets the same check: shake it for 10 seconds and listen for movement, tilt it 45 degrees to see if the bottle slides, and invert the closed box to confirm nothing releases. If it moves, we re-cut the insert. Simple.

Where it works

Wineries packaging limited editions, collector clubs sending a single special bottle, and corporate gifts where the packaging should feel like part of the present all work well with this box. It's not cheap or lightweight; on a retail shelf it works as a display piece when the wine has a vintage or heritage story, but avoiding it makes sense if you're shipping cases and want low freight cost, because solid wood adds weight and volume, and for those jobs a rigid board box works better.

Buyer questions

Can you match the burgundy color to my brand's Pantone?

Yes, Pantone references work, and burgundy or other deep reds are among the harder colors to hold perfectly across a run, so we do first-article approval and mid-run sampling. You approve the first finished box before we produce the rest.

What if my bottle is an unusual shape, like a tall Alsace flute?

We adjust inner diameter and height to the bottle after you send dimensions or a physical sample, and because the insert is cut to fit, we run standard movement checks: shake, tilt, and invert. If it doesn't pass, we re-cut. And then it still doesn't ship.

Is the floral pattern standard, or can I use my own design?

The floral emboss is our standard texture, but you can change it if it doesn't fit, because we can emboss a different pattern or use hot stamping, UV printing, or engraving for your logo or artwork; tell us what you have in mind and we'll tell you what's possible in solid wood.
