4-Bottle Wooden Wine Box with High Gloss Lacquer

A solid wood wine box with a gold-tone latch, it holds four standard bottles. The finish is what meets your eye first: multi-layer piano lacquer polished to a mirror shine. Since it's scratch-resistant, the box stays presentable through handling and shipping. Custom-molded EVA foam wrapped in velvet grips each bottle at four points inside. Carrying is easy with the gold handle. You'll find it used for winery gift sets, collector editions, and retail displays where the box has to sell the wine before the bottle opens. If you need a wooden wine box that reads as serious packaging, sample this one.

  • High-gloss lacquer finish. Mirror shine. Multi-layer piano paint gives the box a surface that holds up to handling, because it resists scratches better than standard varnish.
  • Custom-molded EVA foam. High-density foam covered in soft velvet, and it grips each bottle firmly. No movement in transit, no rattling on the shelf.
  • Gold-tone hardware. There's a comfortable handle and a secure latch on the box. The hardware is matched to the lacquer for a clean look.
  • Laser-engraved branding. Gold foil logo and design elements are engraved into the wood. Your brand mark, being durable, keeps its sharpness with no stickers or plates to peel off.
  • Four-bottle capacity. It's compact enough to carry. Spacious enough for a full set, the layout works for standard Bordeaux, Burgundy, and most sparkling bottles.

Customisation

The logo and design elements are laser-engraved with gold foil. You can change the engraving layout, the foil colour, or the lacquer colour. To fit a specific bottle shape (Burgundy, Bordeaux, or a custom profile), the interior foam gets cut accordingly. The handle and latch finish match your brand palette. We work from your dimensions or a bottle sample, and you approve a printed sample before production.

How the box is built

The body is fine-grain solid wood, and that's for strength plus a consistent surface for the lacquer. Because the wood is dense, it takes a deep polish without showing grain lift or soft spots. That matters with piano lacquer applied in multiple layers. After polishing, the result is a deep, even shine that never looks like a thin coat over cheap board. The corners are reinforced, and the lid seats cleanly onto the base.

The hardware is gold-tone metal: a latch to hold the lid shut and a handle set into the top. The latch alignment means the lid doesn't shift when closed. With enough clearance for a gloved hand, the handle's mount works. Inside, high-density EVA foam doesn't compress, so bottles won't drop after a few uses because it's cut to the bottle profile and wrapped in velvet.

Bottle fit and carrying

Each bottle sits in its own molded cavity. You'll find four hold points on each bottle: neck, shoulder, body, and base. The EVA foam cut matches the bottle diameter, and the velvet wrap adds grip without scratching any glass. Carrying full wine bottles by the handle causes no shifting, right. Before shipment, our in-house checks include shaking the closed box for ten seconds to detect no movement; tilt it forty-five degrees, no slide; invert it, no release. If a bottle moves in any test, then we recut the insert. That's the standard for every wooden wine box in this range.

Where it works best

This box suits wineries assembling a four-bottle gift set. Since collectors want a display piece for a vertical or a special lot, and retail shelves need packaging to carry a price tag, those uses fit too. Corporate gifts and auction lots use it as well. The lacquer finish and gold hardware read as premium. It's not right, then, for a budget line or a box that's thrown away after opening. If you need a wooden wine box that stays on the table after the wine is gone, choose this one. Need a cheap shipper? Look at our rigid board options instead.

Buyer questions

Can the foam be cut for bottles that aren't standard Bordeaux shape?

Yes. We cut the EVA foam to your bottle profile. Be it a Burgundy slope, a sparkling bottle, or a custom mold, we match it. Send us the bottle dimensions or a sample bottle, and we'll build the insert around it. The four-point hold still applies: neck, shoulder, body, and base.

Does the lacquer finish scratch easily?

No. Multi-layer piano lacquer is polished to a hard surface so smooth it resists scratching better than a single coat of varnish would. Normal handling doesn't dull it; nor does stacking, nor shipping. We test the gloss on first-article samples; mid-run we check to keep the finish consistent.

Can I get this box without the gold handle?

Yes. The handle and latch are separate hardware pieces. You can change the finish to silver, black, or a custom colour. Want a cleaner top surface? Some buyers remove the handle but keep the latch for security. Just tell us what you need, and we'll adjust the hardware spec.
