Customisation

Your logo can be foil stamped in red gold, bright gold, or a different metallic. We can change the bag dimensions to fit a different bottle shape or a two-bottle version. The cardstock weight can be adjusted up or down. You can also change the foil pattern entirely, or print full color on the black cardstock. We send a blank sample for structure and a printed sample for visual approval before mass production.

How the bag is built

The body is 210 g black cardstock. That's thick enough to stand on its own when empty and to resist tearing at the handle anchors. The black is deep, not grey, which makes the foil work harder. The gusset opens cleanly and the bottom is folded to hold a bottle upright without a separate insert.

Handles are three-strand rope, threaded through reinforced holes. They are not glued on. The foil stamping is registered to the bag front, so the pattern sits where you expect it every time. Our control tolerance on printed placement is plus or minus 2 mm on the bag body.

Bottle fit and carrying

The bag is cut for a single 750 ml bottle. The bottle drops in with room to spare, so the neck does not push against the top fold. The gusset opens wide enough for Burgundy or Bordeaux shapes. We check every bag against our in-house standards: shake it for 10 seconds and there is no movement inside, tilt it 45 degrees and the bottle does not slide, invert it and the bottle stays put. That's for the bag itself, not just the bottle. The rope handles carry the weight without stretching.

Where it fits

This bag suits retail wine sales, tasting room takeaway, and corporate or wedding gifting. It's a step up from a plain kraft bag and a step down in cost from a rigid box. If you are shipping wine by courier, this is not the product. A paper bag will not protect a bottle from drops or stacking. For that, look at our rigid board or wooden boxes. But for hand-to-hand giving, it's the right amount of presentation.

Can I get this bag in a size for a magnum or a half bottle?

Yes. The standard size is 12 x 9 x 35 cm for a 750 ml bottle, but we redraw the template for your bottle. Send us the bottle dimensions or a sample, and we will adjust the height and gusset. A blank sample shows you the fit before printing.

Is the foil stamping durable, or does it rub off?

The foil is hot stamped into the cardstock, not printed on top. It will not rub off in normal handling. We check foil adhesion on every first article and during production. Avoid dragging the bag across rough surfaces, the same as any foil packaging.

Can I use my own logo instead of the bottle and glass pattern?

Yes. You can replace the pattern entirely, or keep the pattern and add your logo on the back panel. The foil color can be matched to your brand. We prepare a digital proof and a physical printed sample before the order goes to production.
